We have gone on record repeatedly as not being opposed to the
MAPP project per se. But before supporting MAPP we want to see proof
that:
-
The concern regarding the reliability of electric
service is genuine;
-
All reasonable solutions have been identified;
-
Each solution has been thoroughly evaluated in a
process allowing full public participation; and
-
The proposed MAPP transmission line is the best
solution.
While we have asked Pepco repeatedly for this proof, it has NOT been
provided as of this date. Our requests are posted under
MAPP Citizens Advisory
Council below.

Data Requests
PSC law requires that Pepco respond to data requests from interveners
within 10 days. DCSE and the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy (ESLC)
are interveners along with the MD Department of Natural Resources (DNR),
the MD Office of the People's Counsel (OPC), and the MD Public Service
Commission (PSC). Data requests filed thus far are posted below
followed by the response.
