Geology:  You will find a wealth of information on this Maryland Geological Survey website.

MERLIN: On the Maryland Environmental Resources Land Information Network website you can view topographic maps and aerial photos of a site.  You can then select overlays showing property boundaries, threatened-endangered species habitat areas, historic places, preserved lands, Smart Growth areas, and much, much more.

My Neighborhood: On this Baltimore County website you can view recent color aerial photos, the zoning for a site, historic places, crime statistics, and information on community facilities.

Real Property Data Search: This Maryland Department of Assessments & Taxation website makes it possible to determine who owns a specific property.

Schools:  Determine which schools serve a proposed development site.  The click on the following link to compare the capacity of each school to projected enrollment: APF Schools.  If a school will be more than 115% over capacity then development may be restricted.

Soils Data:  This USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service website provides information on soils.  After the website loads click on Maryland, then Baltimore County, to get local data.

State Highway Traffic Volume:  This Maryland State Highway Administration website provides the latest traffic volume figures for state roads and highways.

Stream Quality:  The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Biological Stream Survey has assessed the health of many of the County's nontidal streams and rivers.

Traffic Congestion:  This Baltimore County Department of Public Works website shows the most recent "Level of Service" (LOS) assigned to many of the intersections in the County.  LOS is a measure of traffic congestion and ranges from A to F.  An LOS of A equals no congestion and F is gridlock.  Development may be restricted if it would contribute a significant amount of traffic to an intersection at or near an LOS of E or F.

Tidal Water Quality: This Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection & Resource Management website presents data on the quality of the County's tidal waters.

Watershed Profiles:  This Maryland Department of the Environment website provides information on the overall health of the various watersheds in the state.
